After working six and a half years and producing no more than 25.000 drawings for his film, Hisko Hulsing completed
his masterpiece 'Junkyard". His hard work has been rewarded by an invitation to the Disney and Dreamworks studios and as the Dutch representative entered for the Oscars at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences for “Best Animated Short
Film”. NRC Next describes the film as “Junkyard is not only a lush and warm-blooded visual treat but also a narrative
containing an opinion and intriguing moral layering".

Deep in the archives of a Film Theatre in The Hague a treasure has been kept hidden. Its a unique time capsule in the form of a card catalogue containing profiles of people who in 1945 applied for casting in a film as extras. Elisa Mutsaers tells about this wonderful discovery, the film that was eventually made and the progress of the research being done.
