Invisitor’s vista, the choreography by Kenzo Kusuda, was premièred on 26 May 2005, in the Korzo theatre in The Hague, The Netherlands. This full-evening dance-performance reveals the poetry of the dancing body. Kusuda takes the audience to a world filled with imagination. His work is possessed of a mystic beauty that lies beyond the perception of our physical senses. Simply with the movement of five bodies on an almost empty stage, he is able to reveal that which is invisible.
Choreography Kenzo Kusuda in cooperation with the performers Sebo Bakker, Angelina Deck, Miguel Angel Plukkel, Kay Patru, Kenzo Kusuda | choreographic assistant Miki Sugiura | music Ivo Bol and Kenzo Kusuda | dramaturgy Kenshiro Nakata | costumes Natascha Helmer | light design Peter Lemmens.
The performances were received with critical acclaim:
‘The materials are luxurious but creased. The style of these costumes corresponds with the way in which the five characters move; completely and with devotion, turning every which way, shooting, reaching and probing’ (de Volkskrant).
‘In his newest choreography, ‘Invisitor’s Vista’, Kusuda manages to fascinate the audience; if not always with his bizarre combination of movements, then most certainly with clear poetic undercurrents’. (Haagsche Courant)
