Noam Vazana

She has made appearances at prestigious festivals such as North Sea Jazz, Music Meeting and Jazzahead, she had best-seller on iTunes, and de Volkskrant called attending her show ‘a must’: the Ladino singer Noam Vazana is flying high. This year she also won the Sephardic Music Award of the International Jewish Music Festival. Her latest band ‘Nani’ now presents the album Andalusian Brew with an extended tour through the United States, Canada, and Europe. Nani is a self-professed ‘progressive Ladino ensemble’ mixing Sephardic, Arabian, North African music, and jazz in a warm and contemporary way. With a line-up including guitars, ud, ewi (electronic wind instrument), electronics, and Vazana’s hypnotic voice, Nani is a fresh breeze blowing across the Ladino landscape.
