House Rules

At Korzo we want everyone to feel welcome, safe and seen. Makers, audiences, performers, volunteers and staff: together we build a house where respect comes first. So let us be clear about what you can expect from us, and what we ask of youin return.

In our house, everyone plays a part — on stage, behind the scenes or in the auditorium. These agreements make sure everyone feels welcome.

Everyone is equal
Whether you're on stage, working backstage or sitting in the auditorium: everyone deserves the same space and kindness.

Be open and welcoming
Mi casa es tu casa. Come on in, make yourself at home — and be a good host to each other too.

Help each other when needed
A great night at the theatre is something we create together. A small helping hand can make a big difference.

Respect each other and acknowledge each other's boundaries
Treat each other with care — in the foyer, during workshops and in the auditorium. Not sure where someone's boundary lies? Ask.

Keep your hands off other people's stuff
Seems obvious, and it is. Bags, coats, theatre equipment: leave them alone.

No unwanted physical, mental, verbal or sexual behaviour
We love drama in our shows — not in real life.

Don't bully or intimidate anyone, online or offline
Or as they say in The Hague: Laup nie te zèkuh.

Help keep things smoke-free
We believe in fresh air for everyone, inside and out.

Call out unwanted behaviour
See something that's not right? Take the lead and speak up.

Help keep the theatre clean and sustainable
Bin your rubbish, go easy on materials — life is messy enough as it is.
