Korzo is one of the Netherlands’ largest dance producers for young top talent. From our home base of The Hague, talented choreographers work on new performances and take these on tour through the Netherlands and abroad. In addition to supervising choreographers, Korzo is famed for staging successful festivals and events for dance talent.

Korzo’s showpiece is the two-yearly CaDance Festival for modern dance. The India Dance Festival, which has become one of the most important events for Indian music and dance in Europe, is held in October. We joined forces with Nederlands Dans Theater to give up-and-coming dance makers optimal supervision and offer them in the yearly dance events Here We Live And Now and Voorjaarsontwaken a suitable forum to make and present new performances to the public.

Get Close To Talent!

Korzo presents the biannual CaDance Festival: the festival for modern dance in The Hague. CaDance is the premiere festival filled with sparkling new dance by up-and-coming talents and leading choreographers in the Netherlands. The 17th edition took place from 30 January until 15 February 2015.

See you in 2017!

The Hague is the city where you can get to know new dance talent. Korzo and Nederlands Dans Theater join forces and expertise to supervise up-and-coming talent and offer a suitable forum. With the dance event Here we live and now, Korzo and NDT celebrate the wealth of choreographic talent this city possesses. Various dance makers from The Hague create new work that is presented together in a varied full-length program.

The last weeks of October are traditionally devoted to the largest Indian dance festival on the European continent.  Korzo presents a richly varied program ranging from refined classical dance to innovative Indian modern dance. In addition to a powerhouse international programming, innovative original productions will also be presented. To name an example, Korzo received personal permission from world-famous composer Philip Glass to perform his opera Satyagraha in an Indian dance version, sung by Zangam & the Dario Fo choir.

Each edition, much attention is paid in the program to deepening, new acquaintance, and encounter. The audience can learn more at the many workshops and lecture demonstrations. In addition, introductions and super lectures will be given on the performances; there will be screenings of Indian dance films, and afterwards, the public can meet the artists in the intimate foyer of Korzo theatre.

'an inspiring fountain of new ideas and possibilities and a feel-good event' Pulse Magazine (2012)
