Do you want to create dance together, deepen your artistic practice, and perform on the Korzo stage?
This fall, Korzo launches an intensive programme for young dancers and performers aged 15–25. Over the course of 9 weeks, you will work under the guidance of choreographers Megan Jane Simons and Jeffrey Loewenicht towards a new performance: I&I.
In this programme, your own voice is central—not only what you say, but what you move, feel, and share. Together with other participants, you explore how differences can actually connect us.
About the programme
Across 18 rehearsals, you will work weekly at Korzo on the creation of a professional dance performance. You will delve into movement, expression, and collaboration, and experience how an artistic process develops from first impulse to performance.

Rehearsals:
In October on Tuesdays and Saturdays
In November and December on Mondays and Saturdays
Location: Korzo, The Hague
Performances: December 11th and 12th at Korzo
About the performance – I&I
I&I is a concept rooted in Rastafari philosophy. Rastafari is often regarded as a religion, but for many people it is primarily a way of life and a worldview. The central idea is that every individual is connected to all other people, to nature, and to the greater whole. No one exists in isolation. Everything is alive, everything has energy, and everything is interconnected.
About the choreographers
Megan Jane Simons is a dutch multidisciplinary artist focused on dance and photography. Born on the 19th of March 2000, Megan started dancing at the very young age of 7 years old. A full dance formation, from groups of choreography to the development of her character in the freestyle scene. This leads her to the graduation at the dance academy R.O.C. in 2020 in Utrecht. Since then Megan kept growing as an artist, performing into many theaters of Holland and sharing her knowledge giving HipHop classes. In the latest 2 years she started studying Electro, obtaining the title of vice-champion in Rome in the beginner category becoming a real flag of the Electro Dutch scene. Besides that she organises events and jams with her crew mates.
Jeffrey Loewenicht a.k.a. ‘Creepashu’ is known for constantly pushing boundaries, applying his creative, fast-paced, and concept-driven style in both freestyle, battles and choreography. Captivated by dance from a young age, and infl uenced by the rich musical heritage of his Dominican mother and Indonesian father, he got into dance after watching the movie ‘Step Up’ at just 7 years old. Jeffrey’s passion for dance led him to train at Beatz Dance Studio, later at Touchee Dance Company in Utrecht, and eventually Creative College.
Who is this for?
This programme is for young people aged 15–25 with an interest in dance and performance. You do not need to be a professional dancer, but you do need to be curious, motivated, and willing to explore yourself artistically within a group.
