No choreographer is more strongly attached to CaDance as Paul Selwyn Norton. He debuted at the festival with the dazzling performance Johnny Panic and has remained involved with CaDance ever since. His physical dance language is full of energy and guarantees unexpected twists. The new production Rite We Are is brimming with emotion, humour, and magic. Seven characters delve into the darkest reaches of their personalities. Through rituals they attempt to come to grips with their collective and individual darkness. They search for the most obscure, most repressed part of themselves, to embrace it and be empowered by it. Rite We Are is a performance full of extremes: light, but dark; violent, but elegant.
