For the first time, Korzo will bring the high-profile festival Moving Futures to The Hague. Five Dutch production houses and ateliers collect the works of a new generation of creatives from the areas of dance and performance. They present this in one travelling festival. In a program of performances, installations, films, and parties that is equally refreshing and varied, self-styled artists pass in revue who push the boundaries of the dance.
The first evening of Moving Futures offers a divers pallet of social and personal themes and the results of unique collaborations. Performer and choreographer Keren Rosenberg, together with designer and visual artist Tony Markus Sacharias, created an exceptionally physical and virtual performance. Emotional Porn – Exhibition of the Self explores our obsessive behaviour of constant online exposure through modern technology. Choreographer Judith Clijsters takes on our excessive fitness and health culture. Both extremes cause unhealthy stress. Bored to Death asks to what lengths we are prepared to go to feel good. Are focus and energy the new luxury? The evening concludes with the hybrid performance Choreopop by choreographer Jesús de Vega and musician Chai Blaq. They created an inspiring choreographed music album in between dance performance, pop concert, and live video clips.
