For two days, Korzo will be a real paradise full of musical discoveries during the (Un)heard Music Festival. The festival is staged by the successful Matangi Quartet and leads the listener for two full days through a world of 'unheard' musical works. The festival features music by composer in residence Paweł Szymański.
Music that moves you is often music that takes you by surprise, in an unguarded moment. It could be music that you don’t know at all that that surprises you. The Matangi Quartet aims to achieve just that with the (Un)heard Music Festival. During the festival the spotlights are trained on works that don’t get the attention they deserve and are therefore rarely or never performed in the Netherlands. But in addition, works will be performed that have a connection with these unheard works that are well known. This third edition eatures the music of Polish composer Paweł Szymański.
In addition to the concerts, there will be an extensive fringe program with talks, lovely food, a SOUNDbar with 'unheard' music and an exhibition. Children are welcome at the workshop RadioLab, and for students of the Royal Conservaroty Matangi is organizing a Master Class.
