Six Views from the Edge

An evening when we traverse the Atlantic Ocean with the musical illusionist duo Monica Germino and Frank van der Weij and the Edge Ensemble in a concert devoted to works by the American composer residing in The Hague, Brendan Faegre.

The Edge Ensemble operates on the borderline between composition and improvisation. That’s where you find, like in nature, the greatest diversity and where developments occur the fastest. Jazz, classical, Latin American, and ancient music find each other in this group. No two concerts are the same. The Edge Ensemble is this season’s Gaudeamus ensemble in residence. Faegre has compiled a program for Korzo, which lays the emphasis on composers from the United States.
