(Cheroney Pelupess), Emo (Anne Suurendonk) and Unveiling Echoes (Bo Jacobs & Zoë Greten).
First Dutch tour for resident artist
On this intimate evening, we as an audience will get even closer to talented artists. With personal video portraits, two performances and, of course, the Après Danse, where artists, dancers and you can meet each other at the bar (drinks on us!). This time, you will witness the kick-off of the tour of our resident artist Constantin Trommlitz. See you at DansClick!
Antibodies | Constantin Trommlitz
🏆 Was selected for the International Choreography Competition Hannover (2024) and won the production prize from Theater Trier
"Constantin develops a hybrid movement vocabulary that blends elements of breaking and contemporary dance. The intensity of his physical narratives is expressed in choreography that is both vulnerable and expressive.” Jimmy-Pierre de Graaf, general director of Korzo
Antibodies conveys the raw honesty and reality of pain. Two dancers share their personal and physical relationship with chronic pain; sometimes locked away in isolation, sometimes searching for care and mutual understanding. Inspired by their physical complaints in their lower back and foot, pain is not being hidden, but rather transformed into a source of inspiration and expression.
Constantin Trommlitz (1996) is a German dancer, choreographer and filmmaker. His background in breakdance continues to have a great influence on his work as a choreographer and filmmaker. In Tthe Netherlands he danced with companies such as Danstheater AYA and ISH Collective. His friendship with Zino Schat – founder of Fractal Collective – led to many joint works, both in dance performances and in film work. Since 2022, Constantin has been a house maker at Korzo.

Just before... | Cheroney Pelupessy
Capture the fleeting moment when two women find each other in a world that denies their existence. In a fragile space, untouched by time, they go through confrontation, longing and surrender - until the outside world inevitably catches up with them.
About Cheroney
Cheroney Pelupessy is a choreographer, dancer and creator with Indonesian and Moluccan roots. In her work, she mixes modern dance with Indonesian and Moluccan movements. She explores how stories from the past are still embedded in our bodies. Her first major performance, KETURUNAN (2022), is about her own family history and the shared heritage of Indonesian and Moluccan communities in the United Kingdom. Through her dance, Cheroney tells stories about origins that you don't often hear. She collaborates with people at home and abroad, conducts research into dance in the United Kingdom and Indonesia, and ensures that her performances really resonate with audiences of all ages. In this way, she builds a bridge between the past and the present.

Emo | Anne van Schuurendonk
Do you identify as a woman? Chances are you've had the above sentence thrown at you at some point. A sentence like that affects you, and so many women decide to swallow their emotions, to push them away. Choreographer Anne Schuurendonk explores precisely these kinds of “social codes” in her piece Emo. She looks towards a future in which we can finally leave these imposed codes behind. Throw norms overboard, set aside judgements, and feel and share to the fullest. Two dancers show us what happens then.
About Anne
Anne Suurendonk (Amsterdam, 1988) is a choreographer, dancer and teacher. She studied performing dance at the Academy of Theatre and Dance at the Amsterdam University of the Arts. She soon discovered her passion for choreography and, over the years, developed her unique movement language, which, according to experts, truly adds a new colour to the dance landscape.
As a choreographer, she was known in her early days for her work with Dansmakers Amsterdam, Over het IJ Festival and later as resident choreographer at Danstheater AYA. As a teacher and choreographer, she worked at various dance schools in the Netherlands and did projects with Peergroup and DOX. Last year, she did a residency with us at Korzo, where she researched emotions in dance and laid the foundation for her new performance Emo.

Unveiling Echoes - Bo Jacobs and Zoë Greten
Unveiling Echoes is a dance duet that explores the concept of human mirrors. A dialogue between two bodies, in which the boundary between the self and the other becomes blurred. The dance shows how we often struggle with what is reflected back to us. The reflection reveals the dark sides of human nature: our fears, shortcomings and hidden desires. But it is precisely by accepting what we see – in ourselves and in others – that we find the key to true connection. During the duet, we transform from a mirrored surface into a supportive presence, searching for the subtle balance between autonomy and unity. This journey of acceptance, vulnerability and transformation forms the heart of the performance.
About Bo Jacobs and Zoë Greten
Bo Jacobs and Zoë Greten are two emerging freelance choreographers/dancers from the Netherlands. Bo, trained at Fontys University of Applied Sciences, danced with Nürnberg Ballet, Snorkel Rabbit Company and IID Company. Her work includes LIMP, presented at the 37th Hannover Choreography Competition, the Amsterdam Fringe Festival and the Dutch Dance Days. She also created The Great Forgetting together with Sofie Vervaecke for the dancers of the Staatsoper Hannover.
Zoë, a former NDT2 apprentice, studied at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, the National Ballet Academy and Nuova Officina della Danza. She choreographed the pieces Sonder and Shooting Stars for the Junior Company tour of the Dutch National Ballet.
Together, they explore movement as poetic storytelling and create performances that give shape to the inner landscape.

🏆 Winner of Fringe, Best Awards 2024
"In expressive dance, she conveys a powerful mix of emotions: anger, pain, a sense of freedom and the power of rebellion, with a beautiful dynamic between silence and energy. This performance almost explodes with urgency. It shows a powerful and indomitable woman who faces political oppression, but she fights!" - Jury Amsterdam Fringe Festival 2024
