Jarreau Vandal x Mehdi Nassouli – A Night of Global Fusion
The track Ganga Riddim, born from the electric collaboration between DJ/producer Jarreau Vandal, Moroccan gnawa master Mehdi Nassouli, and drummer Dave Nunes, became an instant hit in Morocco. Now, Korzo invites this powerhouse duo to take their musical connection to the next level—with a full live set that brings together the trance-like grooves of Gnawa and the irresistible rhythms of Nigerian Fújì.
As Jarreau says: “The combination you didn’t know you needed.”
Expect a night full of energy, deep tradition, and unexpected twists—where the spiritual meets the contemporary, and borders between genres dissolve. This is more than a concert—it’s a vibrant celebration of sound, culture, and connection.
Dutch producer and DJ Jarreau Vandal is known for his genre-defying sound, fusing soulful electronics with hip-hop, house, Afrobeat, and jazz. Born into a musical family in Amsterdam, his early influences range from gospel choirs to funk legends. He first gained attention with his remixes of Mahalia’s Sober and Rihanna’s Work, and quickly built a global following.
His latest project, The Villain Within, is an introspective EP exploring themes of personal growth and vulnerability. It includes collaborations with Kojey Radical, Gaidaa, Tay Iwar, and more—uniting soul, electronic textures, and African rhythms. Jarreau has performed on global stages including Boiler Room, and continues to blur boundaries through sound, fashion (with his brand VANDALIZED), and visual storytelling. Inspired by artists like Childish Gambino and Prince, Vandal’s mission is clear: to create a timeless, honest, and deeply personal body of work.
Moroccan artist Mehdi Nassouli is one of the most powerful voices in contemporary Gnawa music. Known for his mesmerizing guembri playing and deep, emotive vocals, he transforms each performance into a spiritual experience. Mehdi grew up immersed in Morocco’s diverse musical traditions, mastering numerous instruments from a young age, and dedicating over a decade to studying regional Gnawa styles with the country’s most respected masters.
Deeply rooted in tradition yet open to collaboration, Mehdi has brought Gnawa music to global stages—performing with icons such as Herbie Hancock, Fatoumata Diawara, Benjamin Taubkin, Justin Adams, and Alpha Blondy. He worked extensively with French guitarist Titi Robin on the Les Rives project and their joint album Taziri, blending African, Amazigh, and Mediterranean influences. Mehdi’s sound is a bridge between ancestral rhythm and contemporary expression—a powerful voice in global fusion.
